Clever IQ tuition is more than a tuition centre. We believe innately that successful intellects are a result of sound emotional and physical wellbeing. We work closely with Afia Counselling, where we have a team of educational therapists as well as qualified counsellors who identify needs that your child may have asides from academic progress.
Ultimately we want your child to become successful human beings and that requires MORE than tuition but taking care of all the aspects that make up a child’s psychology.
You will hear parents tell you that at CleverIQ, the work we do with children is SO much more than tuition.
This is because we genuinely care about your child having a childhood that is happy and we know that so much of that is tied up in their education. As qualified teachers who have over30 years of classroom experience between us, we also know how overstretched, overworked and burnt-out teachers in mainstream schools are.
With thirty children in a class, it is very difficult for them to give the attention that is needed to every child. Patterns of the ‘middle ability’ children being left out, the ‘highers’ not being pushed and the ‘lowers’ not having gaps filled are all too common.
However, even more pressing is that every child is an individual with very specific needs–these needs are not always met by school – where they spend most of their time. Not to mention that parents have commitments which mean they can be left worrying about their child, unable to give them the time and attention they need, paying for expensive tuition but not knowing if it is really helping.
There is also an enormous amount of pressure to make choices about after school clubs, how much social media is too much, whether they be allowed a phone… understanding and supporting them adequately in core subjects is sometimes not possible within a busy schedule.
